As a concentrate, XDP1000 must be diluted with water containing 50 to 500 ppm of CaCO3 hardness. The concentrate should be added to water, not the reverse. Recommended dilution rates range from 5% to 6% for light-duty machining and 8% to 10% for heavy-duty operations.

Storage guidelines include keeping the product in a closed area between 5°C and 40°C, with a shelf life of one year. The coolant is a transparent amber liquid with a density of 0.88 g/ml at 20°C, a refractometric factor of 1 (Brix measurement equals dilution percentage), and a pH of 9 at 5% dilution.
