The FRONIUS TRANS STEEL 3000C COMPACT PULSE is a versatile multi-process welding machine designed for professional welders requiring MIG/MAG, TIG, and electrode welding capabilities in a single device. This compact unit eliminates the need for multiple power sources without compromising on welding performance.
Equipped with 118 welding characteristics, the TransSteel 3000C supports a wide range of materials including steel, CrNi, AlMg, AlSi, metal cored, rutilic flux-cored wires (FCW), basic FCW, and self-shielded wires. It accommodates wire diameters from 0.8 to 1.2 mm and is compatible with eight different gas mixtures, enhancing its adaptability to various welding applications.
The intuitive operating concept allows welders to start welding immediately with minimal setup. Essential parameters such as gas type, wire diameter, and material thickness are easily selected on the front panel, enabling quick and efficient operation without prior device knowledge.
The integrated Pulse function improves welding speed by up to 30% on thicker materials while reducing rework by 70% due to minimized spatter. This pulsed arc technology facilitates controlled welding in the intermediate arc range, enhancing seam quality and consistency.
Key MIG/MAG welding features include:
- Pulse Mode: Enables fast, controlled welding with pulsed arc technology.
- Spot and Stitch Welding: Allows precise spot placement and stitch welding with minimal material distortion, ideal for tacking and working with light gauge sheets.
- Special 4-Step Mode: Provides a stable arc at higher power levels by starting welding at lower power for easier arc stabilization.
- SynchroPulse: Designed for aluminum alloys to create a rippled seam appearance by modulating welding power between two points; available in Standard and Pulse Synergic modes exclusively on this model.
The TransSteel 3000C features advanced steel transfer technologies tailored for different welding needs:
- / STEEL: Universal characteristic for quick and easy welding applications.
- / STEEL ROOT: Optimized for root pass welding with strong gap-bridging ability.
- / STEEL DYNAMIC: Produces a hard, concentrated arc for high welding speeds and deep penetration.
- / PCS (Pulse Controlled Spray Arc): Combines intermediate and spray arcs for deep penetration with minimal spatter.
Welders can further optimize results using arc length correction to adjust arc characteristics and arc-force dynamic settings to influence short-circuiting behavior, enabling control over arc hardness and spatter levels. Pulse correction allows fine-tuning of pulse energy for droplet detachment force adjustments.
