The KEMPPI X3 400A Gas Cooled MIG Package is a professional-grade welding system designed for gas-cooled MIG/MAG welding and carbon arc gouging applications. Ideal for use in construction sites, shipyards, and metal fabrication workshops, this package delivers reliable performance with advanced inverter technology.

Manufactured in Finland, the X3 MIG Welder features an energy-efficient IGBT inverter power source capable of delivering up to 400 A at a 60% duty cycle, ensuring stable arc performance even with economical CO2 shielding gas. The system supports a wide range of wire diameters from 0.8 mm to 1.6 mm, and cored wires up to 2.0 mm, providing versatility for various welding tasks.

The package includes the X3 Power Source 400, which delivers 500 A at 60% duty cycle on any 3-phase 380-440 V mains supply, and the X3 Wire Feeder 300 with precise voltage and wire feed speed adjustment. The wire feeder is housed in a fully enclosed, impact-resistant dual-skin cabinet with a robust 4-roll Dura Torque mechanism and Euro gun connection. The simple two-knob control panel offers presets for Argon/CO2 or pure CO2 shielding gases and special functions for fine-tuning weld start and end, enhancing weld quality and reducing spatter.

Additional features include a wire inch function, a large back-lit LCD display for clear parameter presentation, and ergonomic handles for easy transport. An optional 110-volt auxiliary supply supports a CO2 shielding gas heater, and optional wheel sets improve mobility on site.
