Lanthanated tungsten electrodes are precision welding consumables designed for TIG welding applications, suitable for professionals working with a variety of metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, nickel alloys, titanium, aluminium, and more.

These electrodes perform efficiently in both DC and AC welding environments and are ideal for welding non-alloyed and high-alloyed steels, aluminium, titanium, nickel, copper, and magnesium alloys. They are also compatible with micro-plasma welding processes.

Enhanced ignition characteristics are achieved through increased lanthanum oxide (La2O3) content, improving arc starts and stability at low amperages. Available in 1.0% and 2% lanthanated compositions, these electrodes offer superior electrode life with minimal burn-off rates, making them suitable for critical applications such as in the aviation industry. They can effectively replace thoriated tungsten electrodes and function well on AC or DC electrode negative polarity.

Colour-coding for easy identification includes WL10 (Black), WL15 (Gold), and WL20 (Blue).
