The LINCOLN SUPERARC LA-100 1.1mm MIG wire is a premium copper-coated, low alloy welding wire designed for demanding applications requiring high tensile strength. It is ideal for professional welders working with high-strength base materials up to 100,000 psi (690 MPa) tensile strength and a minimum yield strength of 82,000 psi (565 MPa).
This MIG wire delivers welds with exceptional mechanical properties, making it suitable for welding quenched and tempered steels, including HY-80 base materials. It supports multiple welding transfer modes such as short-circuiting, globular, axial spray, and pulsed spray transfer, providing versatility across various welding conditions.
The copper coating enhances arc-starting characteristics and extends contact tip life, ensuring consistent performance and reduced downtime. Typical applications include military low alloy steels and quenched and tempered plates conforming to ASTM standards A514, A543, A724, and A782. The wire performs reliably under various heat input conditions and is compatible with mixed shielding gases.
