It includes multiple auto-darkening filter (ADF) lens options, including variable color technology (G5VC) for optimized weld visibility in different lighting conditions and materials, and a tack welding mode (G5TW) that reduces eye strain by using an intermediate shade 5 light state. The helmet offers an extra-large viewing area of 73 x 109 mm with peripheral side windows for improved situational awareness.

The system incorporates an ergonomic head harness and optional configurable head and neck covers for added protection. A task light option is available to enhance workpiece visibility. The 3M Adflo Powered Air Respirator system provides high-efficiency particulate respiratory protection with a compact, durable design. It features a high-efficiency particulate filter that can be combined with optional filters for additional vapor protection or nuisance odor reduction. Audible and visual alarms alert the user to low airflow and low battery charge. The package includes a G5 Series storage and carry bag.
