The 3M Speedglas G5-03 Pro Air VC is a heavy-duty powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) system integrated with an advanced welding helmet designed for professional welders requiring respiratory protection and enhanced visibility. It replaces the Speedglas 9100 Air model and is suitable for diverse welding environments.

This system features adjustable airflow distribution and a new TAP function for grinding and cutting tasks. The helmet offers multiple auto-darkening lens options, including variable colour technology that allows welders to select warm, cool, or natural colour tones for optimal weld visibility under different lighting and material conditions. The extra-large viewing area (73 x 109mm) and peripheral side windows improve situational awareness and comfort during extended use.

The ergonomic head harness and optional configurable head and neck covers enhance user comfort and protection. An optional task light improves workpiece visibility in low-light conditions. The G5TW lens option includes a tack welding mode with an intermediate shade 5 light state to reduce eye strain during tack welding, automatically reverting to shade 2.5 if no arc is struck within two seconds.

The 3M Adflo Powered Air Respirator system provides high-efficiency particulate respiratory protection with a compact, robust design. It includes a high-efficiency particulate filter that can be stacked with optional filters for additional vapour protection or nuisance odour reduction. Audible and visual alarms alert the user to low airflow and battery charge. The system is powered by a lithium-ion battery and comes with a G5 series storage and carry bag.
